Product designer · Design operations & program management

I design with conviction, data and research, then let real people prove it.

I'm OD Ntuk. My experience covers UI engineering, product architecture, design and design operations, from 0 to 1 platforms at Kaplan and Meta AI to a rental marketplace of my own. I'm a big proponent of lean UX. I drive the work with prototypes that get tested often, so we find the right fit and approach early.

A Motomo listing page on a laptop and an iPhone

Motomo · Founder & Product Lead · 2026

A verified marketplace for month to month rentals

I host on Airbnb and manage rentals in Brooklyn and Philadelphia, so I knew where flexible renting breaks. Motomo verifies renters and listings once, with no application fees. It’s an active project, and I’m still designing and testing to find product market fit.

Picture books written around what a child loves

A personalized picture book app founded and built by my client Roven. I helped choose the name and the logo, and I advise on usability and product direction, including starting with picture books for readers ages 3 to 7 before taking on chapter books.

Meta AI · Product Design Manager · 2020 to 2022

Turning AI research into demos people could try

As design manager, I oversaw a team of up to seven designers building AI demos around research models, steering the work with guidance, suggestions and feedback. Two shipped externally and one was shared by Meta’s CEO.

Kaplan gradebook prototype on a laptop

Kaplan · UX Manager · 2018 to 2020

A 0 to 1 learning platform for students and teachers

I took inconsistent legacy course screens to one design system, made the case for an adaptive mobile experience, and validated new educator tools with teachers.

Kaplan · iOS app · 2020

Free daily questions that build a study habit

An iOS app that serves three free sample questions every 24 hours, so students can try Kaplan’s material before buying a course. Shown here as a concept of how I’d redesign it with today’s mobile patterns.

Approach

How I design today.

Modern, prototype first and lean. I get real software in front of real people quickly, then let what they do shape the next build.

  1. Start from conviction and data

Deep knowledge of the space, backed by data and research, shapes the bet before a single screen is drawn.

  2. Prototype first

Clickable prototypes that feel like the real product, instead of static mockups.

  3. Test lean

Short build, test and learn loops with the people who will actually use it, run through tools like Userbrain and Maze.

  4. AI in the workflow

About

Systems thinking from an engineering background.

I started out writing front end code, moved into product architecture, then into UX and product design.

That background shapes how I design. I think in systems, with reusable patterns that are easy to build, so a design holds up once engineers pick it up and keeps working as the product grows.

I enjoy collaborating, over communicating and getting a room aligned, whether that's with sticky notes and dot votes or a working prototype.
